Dr Kate Fox has worked with people who have experienced significant struggles with their mental health and relationships.

Consultant Clinical Psychologist sees individuals, couples and families; offers a CAT couple therapy format.

Dr Kate Fox believes that Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) is a really helpful therapy to look at, and work to improve, the interactions between people, including for individuals and couples seeking therapy together.

A CAT couple therapy format aims to help gain an understanding of each partner’s interactional patterns; recognising unhelpful patterns so that both parties can work on revising longstanding patterns.

She says:

  • I see relationships as the centre of how we navigate the world and ourselves.
  • I offer Cognitive Analytic Therapy online/CAT therapy online
  • We can have as many or as few sessions as you would like. Typically, clients choose between 8 and 24 sessions.
  • I appreciate stepping into therapy is a significant investment of time and money in yourself and needs to be both useful and efficient.

Consultant Clinical Psychologist for people who feel stuck in difficult relationships

I work online with people who are seeking:

  • an understanding of why they feel stuck in difficult relationships with themselves and others and
  • are looking at different ways to understand relationships both past and present.

Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) Specialist

My approach is collaborative – working together with you, to identify the areas you would like to address and decide together, how best to do this.

We can set goals or areas to address, and this can help to keep our work together focused.

We explore how our early relationships with our caregivers and siblings create our “sense of self’”. Often these ways of being or understanding our self worked well when we were younger but sometimes need exploring and updating, to support us better in our adult stages of life.

We can also explore the parts of yourself you haven’t had the opportunity to develop and grow in the way you would have liked to.

For more information about CAT please see our CAT webpage.

Kate’s approach is collaborative – working together with clients on identifying the areas to address and how best to do this together.
