What NCPS does

NCPS helps you find an appropriate independent Clinical Psychologist by facilitating an introduction based on the information you provide.

What NCPS does not do

NCPS does not provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, therapy, treatment, or rehabilitation.

All psychological services are provided by independent Clinical Psychologists in private practice.

Who provides your care

If a psychologist accepts your referral:

  • Any assessment, therapy, or report is provided by that psychologist, not NCPS

  • Any contract for care is between you and the psychologist directly

Fees

  • NCPS does not charge you for making a referral

  • You pay the psychologist directly for any appointments or reports

  • Each psychologist sets their own fees and cancellation policy

Your choice

  • You decide whether to proceed with any referral

  • You can withdraw from the NCPS referral process at any time without penalty

Confidentiality & data

Your information is:

  • shared securely

  • used only to help arrange a referral

  • shared only with psychologists involved in your referral

You may withdraw consent at any time, although this may prevent a referral being completed.

Complaints

Legal note

NCPS is not responsible for clinical decisions or outcomes.
Your statutory consumer rights under UK law are not affected.

Important notice
NCPS provides a referral and coordination service only. Psychological services, if offered, are provided by independent HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologists in private practice under their own terms and conditions.

  1. Definitions

1.1 Client
The individual making enquiries to NCPS / Dr Jurai Darongkamas, whether for themselves or on behalf of another person who may later become the client of an independent Clinical Psychologist.

1.2 NCPS / Dr Jurai Darongkamas
A referral service operated by Dr Jurai Darongkamas, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, which connects enquirers with independent HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologists in private practice.

1.3 Independent Clinical Psychologist
A self-employed, HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist who is solely responsible for their own clinical practice, professional indemnity insurance, and terms and conditions of service.

1.4 Psychological Services
Services provided by an independent Clinical Psychologist, which may include assessment, diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation, and reporting (including medico-legal work).

  1. Nature of NCPS Services

2.1 NCPS provides a referral and signposting service only.

2.2 NCPS:

  • does not provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or rehabilitation;
  • does not supervise, direct, or control clinical work;
  • does not assume a fiduciary, clinical, or advocacy role; and
  • is not responsible for clinical decisions, outcomes, or the availability of any independent Clinical Psychologist.

2.3 Independent Clinical Psychologists listed with NCPS pay a commission to Dr Jurai Darongkamas for referrals introduced and accepted.

2.4 No guarantee
NCPS does not guarantee that a referral will result in an appointment, ongoing treatment, or any particular outcome.

  1. Subject Matter of the Agreement

3.1 NCPS will use reasonable care and skill to facilitate an introduction to an appropriate independent Clinical Psychologist based on the information provided.

3.2 Any decision to offer Psychological Services is made solely at the discretion of the independent Clinical Psychologist.

3.3 Any contract for Psychological Services is strictly between the Client and the independent Clinical Psychologist.

  1. Referral Process

4.1 The Client agrees to provide accurate and relevant information to enable the referral.

4.2 NCPS may, where appropriate:

  • hold brief consultations with the Client by telephone, email, or other remote means;
  • review existing reports (a fee may apply for extensive review; this will be disclosed in advance);
  • prepare and forward referral information to an independent Clinical Psychologist; and
  • liaise regarding availability to assist with arranging a mutually agreeable first appointment.

4.3 Client information will normally be anonymised until the Client consents to a formal referral.

4.4 Availability of any independent Clinical Psychologist cannot be guaranteed.

4.5 If a referral is accepted, the independent Clinical Psychologist will contact the Client directly and provide their own terms and conditions, privacy information, professional indemnity details, and fee information.

  1. Formation and Termination of the Referral Contract

5.1 This Referral Contract comes into force on the Client’s first contact with NCPS.

5.2 The referral service is deemed delivered when the Client’s information is passed, with consent, to the chosen independent Clinical Psychologist.

5.3 The Client may withdraw from this Referral Contract at any time and without penalty by email, website contact form, or telephone.

5.4 Nothing in this Agreement affects the Client’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  1. Fees and Payments

6.1 NCPS does not charge individual self-referring Clients for referral services.

6.2 All fees for Psychological Services are payable directly to the independent Clinical Psychologist.

6.3 The Client is responsible for reviewing the independent Clinical Psychologist’s terms and conditions, including cancellation policies (often requiring 48 hours’ notice) and any changes to fees.

  1. Complaints

7.1 Feedback regarding the referral process is welcomed.

Dr Jurai Darongkamas aims to respond within three (3) working days.

7.2 Concerns regarding clinical care, reports, or outcomes should be directed to the independent Clinical Psychologist.

7.3 Concerns regarding the professional conduct of Dr Jurai Darongkamas may be raised with the British Psychological Society and/or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

  1. Confidentiality and Data Protection

8.1 The Client consents to NCPS processing and sharing personal data solely for the purposes of facilitating a referral.

8.2 Information will be transferred securely and shared with independent Clinical Psychologists involved in the referral.

8.3 The Client may withdraw consent; however, this may prevent NCPS from progressing or completing the referral.

8.4 NCPS acts as an independent data controller for referral-related processing. Independent Clinical Psychologists act as separate data controllers in respect of their own clinical services.

  1. Limitation of Liability

9.1 NCPS shall not be liable for:

  • the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any referral;
  • the availability, conduct, opinions, decisions, or outcomes of any independent Clinical Psychologist; or
  • any loss, damage, or costs arising from clinical services provided by an independent Clinical Psychologist.

9.2 Independent Clinical Psychologists are not employees or agents of NCPS.

9.3 Nothing in this Agreement limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited under English law.

  1. Standard Legal Provisions

10.1 Force majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure is caused by events beyond reasonable control.

10.2 Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

10.3 Assignment
Rights under this Agreement may not be assigned to third parties.

10.4 Amendments
Any amendments must be made in writing.

10.5 Entire agreement
This document constitutes the entire agreement relating to NCPS referral services for individual Clients.

  1. Electronic Acceptance and Governing Law

11.1 By submitting an enquiry via webform, email, or telephone and continuing to engage with NCPS referral services, the Client is deemed to accept this Referral Contract.

11.2 This Agreement is governed by English law, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
